August 25, 2026

Dear Families:

The floors have been waxed, the bulletin boards are decorated, and desks, cubbies, and folders have been labeled.  We are ready for your kids!  Students in grades K-8 will begin classes tomorrow morning (August 26th).

Tomorrow will be a big day for your scholars.  I suggest getting their school things together this evening and then having an early night.

Here are a few reminders:

Building Hours and School Day

The school day is 7:55 a.m.–2:45 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

On Tuesdays, the school day ends at 1:45 p.m.

Please do not drop off your child before 7:45 a.m., as staff are not available to supervise students before that time.

Preschool and Pre-K classes meet from 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. on their scheduled school days.  Four-year-olds will join us on Monday, August 31st.  Three-year-olds will start on Tuesday, September 1st.

Arrival and Morning Drop-Off

The building opens at 7:45 a.m. for student drop-off. Students may go directly to the cafeteria for breakfast. Preschool and Pre-K students may be dropped off beginning at 8:00 a.m.

During the first week of school, morning traffic may back up as far as Route 105. We appreciate your patience and understanding. This is common at the beginning of the school year and usually improves after the first few days.

End-of-Day Dismissal

Please do not pick up your child before 2:50 p.m. (or 1:50 p.m. on Tuesdays). Students riding buses are dismissed first, and other students are released once the buses have departed. This process helps reduce congestion and keeps everyone safe.

We are excited to have children back in our building!  They liven up the place, and we have missed them.

Regards,

Becky Read, Principal
